Hyundai and mobile.de piloting battery certificate for used electric cars

In a pilot project, mobile.de is offering Hyundai car dealers the opportunity to use battery certificates to market their used electric vehicles. This makes mobile.de the first car trading platform in Germany to offer the integration of battery condition certificates. From mid-February, the new function will be tested and further developed in a comprehensive test together with Hyundai Motor Germany.

Lack of knowledge about the condition of the battery is a common obstacle to the purchase of used electric cars; around 92% of users of mobile.de, Germany’s largest vehicle market, consider battery certificates to be very helpful when making a purchase decision.

Through the cooperation of Hyundai Motor Deutschland GmbH with mobile.de, the new function is now being gradually further developed. As part of a test phase, partner dealers of the used car program “Hyundai Promise” carry out a battery diagnosis and receive the corresponding certificate from the battery service provider AVILOO. The corresponding advertisements can be found on mobile.de with a new search filter and on the basis of markings on the search result and detail pages.

The joint test pilot is initially designed for six months and is intended to contribute to customer orientation in the growth market for used electric vehicles.
